My name is Tacha Cius. I am a senior at Florida International University studying Mass Communications under the broadcasting umbrella. Earning a Bachelor's degree in Communications is a huge accomplishment for me. I plan to also study Psychology because I am fascinated with the study of the human mind. I became apart of the Global Learning Medallion program during my junior year to enhance my global awareness and perspective of the world around me. The courses and seminars really opened my eyes to international and intercultural affairs that I was not previously aware of. My focus is to continue learning about global issues to actively participate in making a difference.

He's my world...
I am a mother. Julio is my only child and he is 14 years old. He attends American Senior High School where most teachers don't believe that he is my son. Most people think that he's my brother and I laugh. Most people say "no way" but it's true and I thank God for my youth everyday. I want to set the best possible example for him and make sure he excels in his academic studies. That's why earning my degree from FIU is not just for me for for him too.
Watching sports is my thing! I love to watch, analyze and study different sports so I figured to turn that into a career and get paid for doing what I enjoy.

​Christianity is the religion that I was raised upon. As I got older I decided to become a follower of Jesus Christ and became a certified evangelist. Every Saturday my team and I travel to different parts of Miami and minister the gospel. I am a member of New Birth Baptist Church located on 2300 N.W. 135st and have been for 18 years.
