This course familiarized me with the global perspective of a multi-media world. Through videos, class discussions, selected readings, and online resources, I was able to grasp the concept of how interconnected the world is. I am able to demonstrate knowledge of the inter relatedness of local, global, international, and intercultural issues, and systems.
Learning how the media industry is driven by media content on a global scale assists in engaging in different cultural influences.

This course enabled my visual creative ability and introduced me to visual design as it is used in the print, broadcast and multimedia professions.
With new understanding I learned the importance of color and its meaning within cultures and appreciate the ethics of visual communications.
Overall I am able to show competence in the language of this field and the power of symbols and visuals.
